- When will I receive my check from Great-West Healthcare after completing the HRA? You will receive the $50 incentive check 6-8 weeks after taking the assessment.
- Why am I not receiving the daily emails during the scheduled programs even though my email is correct in the Healthier WY website? Program emails are sent each business day during the program and the same content is posted daily online. Emails are short, always less than 5 KB, and never contain attachments. These small reminders often improve participants' adherence to program guidelines and improve outcomes. You may change the frequency of emails anytime during the program. If you have installed Anti-Spam filters or software on your email service, please ensure that legitimate emails from mail@healthierwy.org are not falsely identified as spam or junk. If you are still having problems receiving emails, please contact your internet service provider responsible for your email account.
2010 Healthier WY Wellness Insurance Premium Discount Requirements
- These requirements seem pretty basic. Why was Healthier WY designed this way? We recognize that everyone is at a different level in their wellness continuum. The program was designed to have a common starting point for everyone to assist the State of Wyoming in unifying and standardizing the wellness efforts.
- If I completed the Health Risk Assessment (HRA) last year, will I be asked to complete it again this year? Yes. You will be required to complete the HRA annually, as it is one of the primary tools the state will use to evaluate the impact of Healthier WY.
- Will my responses to the HRA be confidential? Yes, the state is partnering with a Great-West to provide and process the HRA responses. They will only provide a report to the state in aggregate (group) form.
- What is a behavior change program? Behavior change programs are fun, easy programs aimed to promote healthy behaviors. The programs will be 4-7 weeks in length with varying degrees of time commitment. They will be offered seven times per year and will consist of an initial mailer to your home promoting the program, online registration and keeping an online record of compliance. Each program will have an incentive provided with your registration and the opportunity to be included in a drawing for an additional incentive once you have complied with the program’s requirements.
- Is someone going to track that I’ve met the requirements? Yes. Integrated Health & Wellness, a third party vendor contracted with the state, will manage this aspect of Healthier WY in order to maintain confidentiality.
- How will it be tracked? A Wellness Insurance Premium Discount Form will be used to confirm that you received an annual physical/wellness exam from your own healthcare provider. The form will be mailed to you for completion. It will require a signature from a licensed healthcare provider in order to qualify. Once complete, you must submit the form to Integrated Health and Wellness with a postmark no later than September 30, 2009. To track completion of the HRA, Great-West will provide the state with a list of employees who completed the HRA. Individual responses will NOT be seen by the state.
- Can my physician submit their own physical form to receive the credit? No. You will be required to use the provided Wellness Insurance Premium Discount Form with your unique identifier code.
- When is the latest I can complete a physical in 2009 and still complete the 2010 Healthier WY requirements? Your Wellness Insurance Premium Discount Form must be postmarked no later than September 30, 2009; therefore, your physical must be completed in time for this to occur.
- How long do I have to complete the requirements for this entire program? From October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009
Wellness Insurance Premium Discount Form
- What do I do if I lose my Wellness Insurance Premium Discount Form? Additional forms may be requested through the Healthier WY website.
- Why is there no electronic version of the Wellness Insurance Premium Discount Form? Scantron forms are being utilized in order to provide a simplified form for your healthcare provider to sign and an efficient method for processing the forms.
- If I lose my form can I make a copy of someone else’s blank form? No. Photocopies and Faxes will not be accepted. THIS POLICY WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
- Should I keep a copy of my form? Yes. You should keep a copy of your signed form for your records.
Healthier WY Code
- What is my Healthier WY Code? Your unique access code is the first initial of your first name and the first initial of your last name followed by your assigned number (i.e. Seymour Health, a assigned number 12345, would have the access code of SH12345). This access code will allow you to check the completion status of the minimum requirements for Healthier WY through www.healthierWY.org . No personal health information will be accessible through the website.
- What initials do I use if I typically go by a nickname or a middle name? Your Healthier WY Code will use the initials you have on file for health insurance. This will most likely be your legal name.
- What do I use my access code for? You will use your Healthier WY Code to check your status online, identify your form, and register for program participation.
Website Access
- Why does my status on the Healthier WY website show incomplete if I have already completed the HRA? The completion information will be downloaded to the website on a monthly basis.
- I just started at the state and I can’t login to the Healthier WY website. When will my information be available? New hires will be downloaded into the system once a month. Even if you have not been added to the system yet you can still access the wealth of information on the website and work towards your minimum requirements for the 2010 wellness insurance premium discount.
General
- What is a wellness program? Wellness programs encourage and reward healthy behaviors by empowering individuals to take responsibility for their health and well-being. Unifying existing wellness programs and creating a standardized program will support wellness for everyone at the state. The wellness program at the state is called Healthier WY.
- Why did the state decide to implement a wellness program? There are many reasons a wellness program has been established. In short, a wellness program it is the right thing to do for both the state and its employees.
- Who is administering the wellness program? The programs will be run by the Healthier WY Office and the insurance committee through various partnerships with providers.
Participation
- Is participation in Healthier WY voluntary? Yes.
- What happens if I don’t participate? You won’t receive the $480 wellness insurance premium discount for plan year 2010.
- Can my family members participate in Healthier WY and receive incentives as well? No. Only state employees can receive incentives. However, some programs will be family-oriented and family members will be welcome and encouraged to participate in those programs.
- I have a chronic health condition. Can I still participate in Healthier WY? Yes. The purpose of Healthier WY is to encourage and reward healthy behaviors and even though someone has a chronic health condition does not mean they cannot practice healthy behaviors.
Wellness Insurance Premium Discount
- Who is eligible to receive a premium discount? All state members on insurance who complete the minimum requirements of the corresponding Healthier WY program year.
- How do I know if I am qualified to receive the premium discount? You can check the Healthier WY website to see your status. If you do not have regular computer access, contact your human resource staff who will help you log onto a provided computer at work.
- Do I have to enroll for the premium discount or is it automatically applied? If you have met the minimum requirements and the Healthier WY website reflects this, the wellness premium discount will be automatically applied for plan year 2010.
- If I go above & beyond the minimum requirements, do I get extra wellness credit? There will not be any additional monetary credit, but you will receive the added personal benefits from leading a healthier lifestyle.
- Will the requirements to receive a premium discount change every year? We anticipate that the program will evolve and change from year to year. Any annual changes in the requirements will be announced well in advance.
- How is the premium discount applied? The $480 premium discount is applied in prorated fashion over each pay period throughout the year.
