Program Guidelines
Read the Nutrition Facts on the package of the food item you buy or eat
Choose healthier foods by comparing food labels when buying food and planning meals
The Nutrition Facts found on today’s food labels provide a quick and easy guide to healthy eating. Although we read food labels for different reasons, there is a benefit in learning to read and to use this information more effectively. This program will make it easier to regularly use food labels in making the daily choices that contribute to a healthy diet.
Participants are encouraged to read the food labels on everything they buy as well as on everything they eat during the month of June. Members are also encouraged to try healthier versions of the foods they normally consume based on their food label comparisons.
Employees that follow the program guidelines for at least 24 days will receive Healthy Wyoming Credit be entered into a drawing for one of one hundred $50 gift cards to improve health and well-being.
