Fast Food Factoid: Krispy Kreme has the honor of being one of two fast food restaurants in this guide that has all or almost all of its foods coded red. This is because everything is cooked with trans fats. Can you guess which other restaurant shares this distinction? Dunkin Donuts
Food For Thought: Most cooking oils in the supermarket labeled “vegetable oil” are actually soybean oil. Vegetable oil in its liquid form has no trans fats or cholesterol and is high in poly- and monounsaturated fats. Read the ingredient label on vegetable oils to see what type of oil it contains.
